Mud buddiesMud buddies

Congratulations to all the winners from the Taos Mud Bog at the Sheriff’s Posse Arena!  Especially our Batcave racers pictured above, and especially the girls who whupped on all the boy challengers in the foot races – better start training for next year, boys.

First place winners were as follows:

Modified – Frank Trujillo, Santa Fe

Super Modified – Peter Encinas, Pecos

Super Stock – Roy Scott, Rio Rancho

Outlaw – Roy Scott, Rio Rancho

Our apologies to racers we have neglected to mention, or picture here.  If you’d like to remind us of how you did, or send pictures, please email to taosoffroad@hotmail.com, with “Taos Mud Bog” in the subject line.

The race was a huge success, and we thank everyone for attending.  Apparently, we broke attendance records with this here mud-racin’ business…go mud!

Race. Taos! July 16

Race. Taos! July 16Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, your official Taos Mud Bog!

For some, it might seem a long time coming, but this should be the first of a long, proud tradition – hopefully with huge payouts and high-level competition.  In fact, prizes listed on the flyer are MINIMUM payouts, and may be subject to increase as sponsorship continues to be secured.  So, not only should you be there, but you should get some of your favorite organizations involved, too!

Whoever you are, show up to race – we’re ready for you.  Come get some!

Taking all challengers.

Mudd Maddness in Cuba!

The race in Cuba is just around the corner, and we’re very excited about it.  Not only because of Cuba’s renowned reputation for excellent cigars, but because The Godfather, Part II, is an awesome movie.

"I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart."

Don’t worry, we expect no mob violence at the race, and certainly don’t promote it – unless you side against the family.

Preparations are in progress for the upcoming race here in Taos, July 16, and everything is on schedule.  The classes offered will be: Modified, Super Modified, Stock, Super Stock.

"Professional cartography, for your convenience."

The Outlaw class will also be offered, and we are currently seeking input from racers wanting to run in that class.

The race will be held at the Taos County Sheriff’s Posse Arena (see Google Earth photo above).  The west side fence will be removed to allow a 60 foot opening for additional shutdown for fast trucks.

We encourage Colorado racers to attend this race, as several of their races have been canceled, and no Colorado races appear to be scheduled for July 16.

We are also hoping to debut the newest addition to the Batcave team, Harley Quinn, at this race.

"Everything a pin-up girl should be...almost."

The finishing touches are now being put on this beauty, so watch out!

Last, but certainly not least…FINALLY, A RACE WITH GRANDSTAND SEATING!  AND SHADE!  AND YOUR BACK TO THE WIND!

SEE YOU THERE!

The Mayhem Mudbog, live from the Ohkay Casino…!

…the first race of the season is in the books, and it was a good one – no doubt.  We here at Batcave are proud of Joker’s Revenge, who earned a mother of a trophy…

That's a big one.

We had to win...they match.

…barely.  The top three times were 2.346, 2.348, and 2.349…obviously, this could be one helluva season.

On top of the intense competition, there was also the longest pit-grooming session we’ve ever experienced as mud-racers…good thing it was a beautiful day.

All right everybody, the season is officially underway. The calendar page is complete (for now) with all the races for New Mexico and Colorado, and we are proud of our new look – we hope you are, too. Please feel free to leave comments on any of the posts and/or pages…we appreciate your feedback.

The schedules (for both New Mexico and Colorado) and rules have been posted, and we will continue to stay up-to-date with pictures, video, results, and related happenings. So let’s get this show on the road, it’s time to get dirty!

Also announcing the latest addition to the Batcave team…Harley Quinn. She’s nearing race-ready completion as yet, but doesn’t she just seem so sweet?
